Made me think, "Quintessential Tetons".......perfect way of showing just how massive that mountain range is in comparison to the Great American Buffalo.

Moran was barely visible but realized that the low hanging clouds combined with the autumn colors only served to accentuate the landscape. I liked the fence and small stream against a snowy landscape, and as you can tell from the atmosphere, there was another snow storm rolling in. This is a beautiful mountain and has always been one of my favorites to photograph. I have heard it said that there is actually a Vortex on the mountain that creates some of the most interesting cloud formations. I say the clouds do that because of the wind against the mountain. But who knows? I guess if we ask Ripley, anything could be possible, right? Reflections image Mt Shasta image A closer view of the mountain. I did not alter the photo at all. These are the actual colors of the evening. There was a huge fire west of the mountain and so when the sun was setting, it created the most interesting sunset and colors on Mount Shasta.
