Sunset over the Holy City
image
Sunset over The Battery and a row of Palmetto Trees, Charleston, South Carolina. Charleston is known as the "Holy City" because it has so many churches and because it was amongst the most religiously tolerant colonial American cities.
This photo took some work to get -- but I was trying for something like the South Carolina state flag with the palmetto tree and the crescent moon.

lost city

They say a city named Pelegrin was once here. It went down to the sea, drowned with all the citizens, and no one knows why anymore. But, they say - every thousand years a beautiful woman comes out of the waves, riding a white horse. Grab onto the horse, jump on it's back, and catch her - the city will come to life! With all it's citizens and in all it's glory.

The SSA took delivery of the M/V M.V. from Atlantic Marine, Jacksonville, Florida in 1993. She is assigned to Woods Hole - Martha's Vineyard service and is classed as a conventional, diesel, twin-screw, passenger/vehicle ferry. A quick look reveals a basic similarity in hull dimensions, speed and capacities to the 1974 vintage M/V NANTUCKET. Her 230? length, 60? beam, 3000 HP EMD powerplant, 14-knot speed, and vehicle deck load generally mirror the older vessel. There the similarity ends, however, as more modern amenities and necessities such as improved ADA access, interior and exterior seating upgrades, interior passenger space size, Free Wi-Fi internet access and enhanced maneuvering characteristics make the M/V M.V. a more passenger friendly vessel.

Mt Shasta

A closer view of the mountain. I did not alter the photo at all. These are the actual colors of the evening. There was a huge fire west of the mountain and so when the sun was setting, it created the most interesting sunset and colors on Mount Shasta.

It felt like he was up there for the longest time....
If there was any argument over could these guys jump a truck or boat etc, I think this ends the conversation.
The wind on this day was a bit gusty, so it was hard for the surfers to get long jumps like this. Wish it was me though, LOL.

I've used a "chop shop" process where by I select via the colour range to cut away unwanted parts of the top layer to expose the bottom layer. I haven't been doing this for very long so this took about 4 hours in total to process. BTW this is a scaled down version, the original is about 10 times the resolution.
