Cotswold-beech-wood-full-fisheye
image
This is the full version - lying on the wet leaves looking up at a coppice stool in a cotswold beechwood. The coppice is so large in diameter it is probably a couple thousand years old. 10.mm nikkor, colour temp dropped in Lightroom to make it bluer.

It's a crop from the right hand side of the full-fisheye version above. Taken lying on the ground in the centre of a huge ancient beech coppice stool. Nikon 10.5mm, I cooled down the temp of the pic in Lightroom

Autumn in the Tetons

Rework of an oldie but goodie.....September 2007
One of my favorite places to stop in the Tetons. Initially, I was very disappointed with the fact that Mt. Moran was barely visible but realized that the low hanging clouds combined with the autumn colors only served to accentuate the landscape.
Dusting
image
From the archives...taken in May 2007....sunrise in the Lamar Valley....just loved the dusting of spring snow combined with the low hanging clouds and touch of blue sky.....bitter cold beauty :-)

Matthiessen Low Dells Waterfall
image
I took this at the Matthiessen State Park on a foggy morning. I used a wide 14mm lens. It had rained pretty hard the night before.

I posted a similar picture a week or so ago. This one was taken the same morning using a 14mm lens from a slightly different angle.
Taken at the Matthiessen State Park, North Central Illinois, on a foggy morning.

Tribute in Light
image
Last night Lulu and I went to Exchange place to see the Tribute in Light, we got there just as they were starting and stopped into the Vu bar at the Hyatt for a couple of drinks till it got a little darker, met a couple there who come here each year to see it as they had friends affected by the tragedy was nice but a little emotional talking to them, I promised them to post a couple of shots so here they are
as you can see my shots looked far better on the back of a camera than they do on a screen, I really need to get out and practice night shots
Looks better as a thumbnail with the wrong reading glasses on :)
but may be Ok on B l a c k M a g i c
Posting this to FFF www.flickr.com/groups/-cheers-/ as a salute to Mudpig www.flickr.com/photos/yukonblizzard/ whose night shots inspire me and who got some great shots of the lights
