That Old Tree image Out of the Mist image That Old Tree image A cloudy and windy saturday in Tungelsta. I took an early afternoon stroll up to the old oxel at Välsta. Have a look at the slidshow, now with 93 photos. That Old Tree image A summer view of the old oxel. Fantastic weather. 20 C and a clear blue sky on this visit to the old tree. I waited for a while to see if someone would join me, but that didnt happen. Then as I left the path and headed for home I saw three cyclists that probably went this way. Out of the Mist image I headed over to the old tree at Välsta for a photo, as it was very misty today. Met a man and his horse. We talked for a bit. I told him about my photo project concerning this tree and gave him a moo minicard. As I was going to take a few photos the Digital Rebel died so I had to shoot with the cheap point& shoot.

The year that I lived here was the only year that the tree wasn't lit, due to a power crunch. Many years later I finally saw it, but forgot my tripod! The 61st Norwegian Christmas tree in Trafalgar Square was lit on Thursday 6 December by Norway's Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg in the annual ceremony that attracts thousands of spectators. The ceremony is normally watched by nearly 10,000 spectators and includes carols sung by the Choir of St Martin-in-the-Fields. The first tree was brought over in 1947 as a token of Norwegian appreciation of British friendship during the Second World War. When Norway was invaded by German forces in 1940, King Haakon VII escaped to Britain and a Norwegian exile government was set up in London. To most Norwegians, London came to represent the spirit of freedom during those difficult years. Look West at Sunset image From the farm, we have many excellent vistas of the sunsets, particularly when the seasons are changing which regularly results in atmospheric, well, seemingly MAGIC. It seems that they are too fleeting except with the wonder of the digital capture. This was shot RAW and then adjusted for levels to more closely see what I saw. Enjoy! Better on B l a c k M a g i c Looking in, Through and looking out the Window image Todays challenge for PHotochallenge.org was "Out the window" I took a few shots out of office windows at work Looking across the East river and some were OK, but I wanted to go for something a bit different so at lunchtime went for a walk to try and get a shot looking through a car window and out the other side which I thought would be cool.
