Cross breeding with introduced dogs has given us a hardy dingo look-alike. Unfortunately, the cross probably made the animal more of a problem for cattle stations. Originally introduced to combat insect attacking the sugar cane crops in Queensland, it has now spread over much of the north east of the country and is moving rapidly westward and also southward.
