War of the worlds, robot planet atmosphere destroyed.

The Story continues:
The worst and most probable result occurs, a surface impact happens about a day after the collision.
A major fragment of asteroid impacts the planets atmosphere, turning the atmosphere into a high pressure inferno, with a shock wave that precedes the explosion of flames. Destroying everything that stands on the surface of the planet & then incinerates it.
Only things not on the surface will survive, what will they do now?

The Story Continues:
As the asteroid enters the lower atmosphere it starts to heat up, but due to it's massive size it skims across the mix of gases total obliterating the different layers and spraying enormous amounts of both atmosphere and the surface water/land below it into space.
behaving very much like a stone skipping across water, the asteroid impacts 3 times before bouncing away into space. The earth has lost large chunks of its protective layers and precious amounts of breathable air. The total volume of our global atmosphere is dramatically reduced....

Story:
The inhabitants of the planet, watched with a methodical calm, as a large asteroid collides with the all to close moon. The resulting clash sends pieces hurtling toward the doomed planet below.
They know that If even one of the medium sized fragments enters their atmosphere, it will destroy the protective layer of gasses around their planet.
If not WORSE.

The Story Continues:
The effects of the lose of protective atmosphere start to happen almost immediately. Much of the global warming symptoms become over night reality. Shocking amounts of contamination in the oceans cause a rise in water temperatures. The ozone layer is almost totally wiped away with one stroke, so unbelievable amounts of solar (UVB) radiation is unleashed over the ice packs, causing wide scale melting of the entire polar regions.

Unlike the types of aggression that have been shown so far, now the invaders shoot hot gaseous clouds of strange chocking smog towards people as they try to escape.

As people start to die in ever larger numbers bodies are left where they fall. There is no-one focused enough to pick them up, anarchy rains, as a world wide state of shock consumes those in denial.
Could anyone survive such an aggressive biological attack?

As people start to get sick it become obvious that not only the people exposed to the gas are getting sick.
Many new cases are being reported as a result of air born infection. They surmise that it's probably a virus of some kind that attacks both the body and mind, causing hallucinations as well as paranoia. Infections spread extremely quickly as the situation becomes a pandemic withing a very short time.

The Story continues:
As the sickness destroys populations, cities fall and refugees are driven by feelings of pain and guilt as much as hope.
The hope that the larger capitals may have prevailed and a perceived sanctuary they may offer.
In an attempt to achieve this the few surviving military personnel attempt a last attack on the closes ship, only to be destroyed as flippantly as squashing an annoying insect.

The Story continues:
As the search ships orbit above, I watched entities ships move down to the surface. An entity craft hovered over head as an alien landscape opened before me. A strange noise can be heard piercing everything around me and resonating against my chest. All at once the sound stops, leaving a heavy feeling to the air, I can still feel my chest hurting.

Story:
As if the global problems that have been set in motion weren't enough to cause the extinction of every form of life on earth. Now the awesome power of the sun is used directly against us in a truly biblical plague of energy blots. Lightning like and just as unstoppable.

The Story Continues
As the global atmosphere destabilizes due to the losses caused by the mega asteroid. All the orbiting satellites (as well as space junk) start to fall all over the world as there orbits decay. Thousands of smaller impacts cause unprecedented collateral damage.
