Upon rounding a curve, we spotted a few people standing on the side of the road and knew instantly that we had hit the jackpot. Even better yet, there was no ranger in sight. The husband dropped me off so he could go and park the car. I thought, "here's my chance to show what can be captured with my new 80-400mm lens." I set up the tripod and camera and was not disappointed. For at least 30 minutes, these little cubs put on quite the show; running around, playing, fighting, and having a good time. He eventually meandered out into the open and was not a bit disturbed or interested in the crowd he had attracted other than to lift his head every so often and look at the spectators.
