Cunnamulla, meaning 'long stretch of water' which refers to the nearby Warrego River. You can visit the Cunnamulla Fella Centre Art Gallery, Museum and Artesian Time Tunnel. Cross breeding with introduced dogs has given us a hardy dingo look-alike. Unfortunately, the cross probably made the animal more of a problem for cattle stations.

The Brolga (Grus rubicunda) can still be seen in small areas of the south of the continent and is common in the north east of Australia. Originally introduced to combat insect attacking the sugar cane crops in Queensland, it has now spread over much of the north east of the country and is moving rapidly westward and also southward.
