Calendar
I've chosen a broad selection of my paintings from this year. All are watercolours but some have some mixed media elements and one has a bit of collage. I've also selected a combination of still life and landscape paintings as a reflection of the way I paint - moving from one subject and style to the next.
The paintings featured are:
Cover - Have a Nice Day, Mr Shark
January - Little Window
February - Roses
March - Yellow Tulips
April - Bluebells
May - Forde Abbey
June - Boats at Beer
July - Barcelona Sunshine
August - Red Tulips
September - Sunflowers

This is a digital manipulation of an original watercolour painting
It was actually more like a 5 stage process to get to this point:
1. I painted a watercolour landscape of fields
2. To add some interest I painted fine lines across the sky to create a slightly rainy effect. I also painted lines across the fields.
3. I used a fine liner pen to draw the tree onto the landscape
4. I used white acrylic paint to make the tree stand out.
5. I used Photoshop to digitally enhance and colour. I used multiple layers and effects including - neon glow, cut out, film grain, fresco, smudge stick, poster edges, overlay, linear light, colour dodge, pin light, multiply and vivid light - all at varying opacities.

This is a digital manipulation of an original watercolour painting
It was a 5 stage process to get to this point:
1. I painted a slightly dull watercolour landscape of fields
2. To add some interest I painted fine lines across the sky to create a slightly rainy effect. I also painted lines across the fields.
3. I used a fine liner pen to draw the tree onto the landscape
4. I used white acrylic paint to make the tree stand out.

For anyone new to Photoshop I'd recommend trying adding a layer of a 2nd image over your first - you can then try changing the layer style and opacity to see what effects you get. 'Multiply' is one of the best for adding brightness
