This wall calendar shows a variety of wildflowers native to the Southern Appalachian Mountains, ranging from common weeds such as the Carolina Horse Nettle to endangered and federally protected species such as the Appalachian Avens. Picture locations include the Appalachian Trail, Roan Mountain, the Daniel Boone Native Gardens, Green Valley Park, the Environmental Studies Area at Appalachian State University, and hiking trails along the Blue Ridge Parkway.
